I was delighted with this author and the book after reading everything that I could find by Grace Livingston Hill and Elizabeth Alden. The book is on a similar vein. The thorough handling of the characters and the outcomes of their lives that left no loose ends left me deeply satisfied at the end of this inspiring book. As a Christian I deeply appreciate the moral of the story involving the development of character through struggle. While there are a few implausible elements as in all books of this era I finished the story feeling inspired in my faith. This was definitely a worthwhile read.Product details

One of the few books I chose not to finish. The author made much use of premonitions of the characters and tried to build suspense with such phrases as "if they only knew what was going to happen".
